  Kris Kumar, President and Founder

Kris has spent the last 27 years in consumer insights, with his most recent assignment being Senior Director of US and Global Consumer Insights at Burger King. At Burger King, Kris was responsible for consumer insights across North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America. Prior to BK, Kris was a Corporate Research Director at Eastman Kodak, and before that spent 7 years in senior supplier side research positions. Kris holds a Masters in Marketing Research degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.

His areas of expertise include various facets of quantitative research including forecasting, modeling, concept testing, pricing research, positioning, market testing, copy research, segmentation, product research and trade-off analysis. In addition, he has extensive experience managing global projects across the Americas, Europe and Asia.

He has utilized his gift for writing to pen and publish an acclaimed murder mystery, HARLEM SUNSET. In addition, he has written four feature-length screenplays (The Pits, Sunny, Over the Top and The Blue Marlin) and is represented by SPC Talent Management in Hollywood, CA.

Kris is a brilliant market researcher with a well-balanced mix of creativity, business savvy and common sense. He develops innovative methodologies to address your research needs and makes actionable business recommendations based on the results.   Doug Riggan, Vice President & Strategic Client Partner

Doug has worked at Kumar Insights since 2011. He has spent the last 28 years in consumer insights, most recently as the Senior Manager of US and Global Consumer Insights at Burger King. Prior to Burger King, Doug was a Research Manager at the AAA National Office where he oversaw initiatives related to customer satisfaction, travel, banking, and legislative issues. Doug holds an MBA from the University of Miami and a BBA from the College of William and Mary.

Be it quantitative or qualitative research, Doug's expertise is in taking disparate pieces of data and building a story around it. With his keen intellect and strong analytical skills, he is able to transform consumer feedback into useful consumer insights. He is able to place himself in the consumer's shoes and think like them, which helps tell a compelling story.

In addition to his research skills, Doug has spent many years in internal client management roles, which makes him a natural at account management. Doug stays true to his title of 'strategic client partner' by working closely with clients to understand their needs, and deliver optimal solutions that benefit the end user.

Doug is one of the most talented researchers I have had the pleasure of working with and has a consistent track record of making significant contributions to drive sales growth. While at Burger King Corporation, Doug spearheaded consumer research that provided insights that led to the successful launch of numerous new products, which helped turnaround the brand, contributing to a long period of uninterrupted comparable store sales growth. He was also instrumental in leading research that resulted in the development and launch of new menu boards, restaurant re- imaging and new prototype concepts. However, what truly sets Doug apart is his exceptional capacity to effortlessly manage an extremely high volume of research, consistently delivering breakthrough insights. Despite working under pressure of extremely tight deadlines, Doug always maintains a great attitude and never shows signs of stress. His productivity is unmatched and he is able to accomplish far more than others in significantly less time.   Ines Mota, Senior Project Lead

Ines (EE-nes) has over 20 years of supplier side consumer insights experience, and has been with us since 2008. She spent five years at Synovate, managing large US and Latin American studies for a variety of Fortune 500 clients. Prior to Synovate, Ines worked as a Business Analyst for the Venezuelan Council for Business Promotion. She holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Illinois.

Whether it be questionnaire development, field management, checking data or creating PowerPoint reports, Ines goes about her work with a cheerful disposition and a 'can do' attitude. Her orientation to detail and diligent nature makes her a perfect fit for the role of Project Lead.
